A Journey of Hope and Connection: Our Activities in Northern Iraq
During our recent visit to the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq, in collaboration with NTHK, we had the privilege of sharing profound experiences with local communities. Between Christmas and New Year’s, our journey was dedicated to compassion, culture, and bringing hope to those who need it most.
Hope for Children in Prison
One of the most emotional moments of our trip was visiting a prison in Northern Iraq. There we met children whose parents are incarcerated. It was heart-wrenching to witness their circumstances, yet deeply inspiring to see their resilience and desire for a brighter future.
Through our activities, we sought to bring a spark of hope to their lives. We provided not only gifts but also a message: Your life has value, you have the power to forge a new path, and you belong. These children deserve the chance to grow, to contribute to society, and to build a future where they can rediscover themselves and their potential.
Bridging Cultures in Erbil
In Erbil, specifically in the Ainkawa district, we organized a heartwarming Christmas activity. Under the sparkling lights of this historic city, we brought together children from diverse religions and cultural backgrounds. In the spirit of Sinterklaas, we handed out gifts inspired by Dutch traditions.
It was incredibly moving to see how a simple act of kindness could bridge cultural divides. The children experienced not only the joy of receiving gifts but also the profound feeling of inclusion, acceptance, and unity. This moment underscored the universal language of love and joy, transcending all boundaries.
A Message of Hope and Cooperation
Our journey highlighted the power of collaboration and human connection. It reminded us that, regardless of the challenges, even the smallest gestures can create meaningful change.
💖 Together, we brought light to dark places. Together, we showed that love, hope, and humanity know no borders.
Follow us and support our mission to inspire communities, transform lives, and build bridges between cultures. Together, we can make a difference. 🌍✨
